The light is made from Capiz Shells. The Capiz shell is made of the outer layer of a mollusk shell, in scientific terms is called placuna placenta. The Capiz is from the Phillipines, found by the people from the city Capiz, on the island of Panay. When cleaned, the shells are naturally see through and when colored give an amazing soft light.
